Pilates is the complete coordination of body, mind and spirit” – Joseph Pilates

What is Reformer Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise system focused on strengthening and toning specific muscle groups throughout the body. Central to Joseph Pilates’ method is the proper engagement of core muscles, which is vital for achieving effective movement. Reformer Pilates is a type of exercise that uses a specialized piece of equipment known as the Pilates Reformer. It offers a low-impact, full-body workout that merges traditional Pilates principles with the added resistance and versatility of the reformer.
The Reformer comprises a sliding carriage, springs, pulleys, and a foot bar. The carriage moves back and forth, providing resistance for the exercises, and the springs can be adjusted to various levels of intensity. It can look intimidating, but our instructors will guide you through every step!
This exercise form also emphasizes the significance of mindfulness, encouraging people to connect with their bodies through controlled movements and breathing techniques. The integration of physical actions with mental focus provides comprehensive benefits to overall well-being.
How can Reformer Pilates help me?
A consistent Pilates practice can help improve flexibility, mobility, balance and strength. Pilates promotes good posture, aids in relieving back pain, and supports injury recovery. It is an inclusive workout suitable for all individuals aiming to improve their fitness levels.
