Top 5 Habits to Master to Feel Like You Have Your Life Together

Navigating the demands of daily life can often leave us feeling overwhelmed. It’s easy to lose sight of our health amid the chaos of work, family, and personal responsibilities. However, incorporating small, intentional habits into your routine can make a world of difference. Here are my top five healthy habits to master that will help you feel more in control and energized!

1. Hydration with Electrolytes Upon Waking

Starting your day right begins with hydration. Aim to drink 8-16 ounces of water as soon as you get out of bed. This not only jumpstarts your cellular function but also sets the tone for the rest of your day. My go-to for clean electrolyte hydration is *LMNT*, which helps restore balance and recharges me for the busy hours ahead.

2. Morning Exercise or Movement

Incorporating exercise into your morning routine has numerous benefits. Morning workouts can boost your metabolism, enhance mental clarity, improve mood, and increase overall energy levels. As a busy parent, I’ve learned that prioritizing my exercise first thing in the morning is key. If I don’t fit it in then, it’s unlikely to happen later in the day!

3. Nutrition Bomb

A nutritious shake can be a game changer when it comes to getting your daily intake of vitamins and minerals. My current go-to recipe includes protein powder, creatine, two cups of greens, chia/hemp/flax seeds, and a handful of berries. It’s a quick and easy way to ensure I’m fueling my body with the right nutrients right from the start.

4. Prep Ahead

Preparation is essential for success. Spend a few minutes each evening organizing for the following day. Lay out your workout clothes and gear, refill your electrolytes, set up the coffee maker, and prepare the dry ingredients for your nutrition bomb—just add water in the morning! A little foresight can save you time and reduce stress in the morning.

Also, take a few moments in the morning to tidy up the kitchen and plan or prep dinner. These quick tasks can create a more peaceful environment for both you and your family, making the evening less chaotic.

5. Nightly Skincare Routine

A simple yet effective skincare ritual at night can provide numerous benefits. Not only does washing your face promote lymphatic drainage, but the act of massaging your skin also helps engage the parasympathetic nervous system, signaling to your body that it’s time to wind down. If you often feel anxious at bedtime, this calming mini-routine can be a helpful ritual to clear your mind and prepare for a restful night’s sleep.

Implementing these habits doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Start with one or two and gradually add more as you feel comfortable. Small changes can lead to big transformations, and soon enough, you’ll feel like you’ve got your life more in order. Here’s to feeling your best every day… even in allll the chaos!
